Nomad is an ideal choice for an info or help desk. Lots of useful space in a compact and very mobile package. Nomad is available in 75" or 84" widths and 29" or 39" main worksurface heights. You can choose to have your Nomad desk built with the transaction top on the left or right side of the front face...or with no transaction top at all. You can also choose to have a hanging steel pedestal supplied with your desk.

The Nomad Mobile Cabinet with Book Return Slot completes the ensemble for library applications. (Note: the Nomad Mobile Cabinet with Book Return Slot does not include a descending platform book truck - MCD-18DBTL book truck must be ordered separately).

Overview

Work surface: Tops are 11⁄4” thick, three ply 45# particle board construction with .050” high pressure laminate top surface and a .030” phenolic backer. Edge is 3mm PVC with a 1/8” radius top and bottom. Tops are attached to the frames and mounted via 1/4”-20 inserts and bolts. Top surface is at 35” height. Lower work surface is at 29” height.

Case: Floating curved front panels are self-edged high pressure laminate. Face panels have embedded threaded metal inserts to accept machine threaded connecting hardware for metal-to-metal fastener contact to steel chassis frames. End panel inserts are self- edged high pressure laminate panels.

Steel Chassis Frame: Frame shall be a welded assembly of 1-1/4” square 14 gauge steel tube, drilled and tapped to receive casters and bored for connecting hardware. Finish shall be powder coat, manufacturer’s standard colors.

Casters: Casters shall be 100mm heavy duty swivel casters with brake, rated at 100# per caster. Assembled unit shall use a total of (5) casters.

Hanging Pedestal: Hanging pedestal shall be steel construction with satin nickel loop recessed pulls, locking mechanism, 1 box drawer, 3/4 extension slides, 1 file drawer, full extension slides, 15.25” width x 17.875” depth x 19.375” height. Hanging pedestal shall be provided uninstalled. Pedestal shall be finished in coordinating powder coat.
